Caroline! These drawings are beautiful. I am happy to find some of your work online. I still talk with Ben often enough to be “keeping up” with him, and have lamented for too long without action that we’re not in touch. I’d love to talk on the phone with you sometime, or exchange a couple of letters. I’m still painting and drawing some too, although my primary work is teaching. I’ve been running the same 1st-3rd grade classroom for years now, and work to run the school with good friends. Ari is 10. Nicole and I are still close and hang out fairly often, especially since the pandemic started. With Ari tying our microbial realities together, I’m glad we enjoy each other – I’m otherwise an island these days. I hope you’re well.
Hi Tal! Thanks for your message and sorry it’s taken me a bit to reply, I usually only get spam in these comments and am not very careful checking lately. How wonderful to hear from you again, it’s been way too long. Thanks so much for your kind words about these drawings. It sounds like you are in a pretty good place in life right now! I’d love to chat sometime, maybe we can all have a (virtual) hang out session sort of like the old days. I remember those fancy weekend brunches at your house! Ben said he’s been in touch with you, I’ll get your contact info and drop you a longer message with a full update! (Did I mention I’m so happy to hear from you again?) Caroline
