Pueblo Drawings

These works were made in my current hometown Pueblo, CO. Each piece is made through an extended process where I set up on a site that possesses a strong historical significance. In the 100 or so hours I spend looking at my subject, transient factors such as light and shadow fall away and the true substance of the subject emerges, similar to the way the steel mill must have become a composite of 100’s of days to a worker in the 19th century or the piano expresses the multitude of interactions it has had with the public.
